Sweet Chili Chicken Thighs

This  week's recipe from "Everyday Dorie - The Way I Cook" was a team effort.
I prepared it with my Mom (aka Nana from ChezNanaBlog.wordpress.com)
and my Hubby during the Super Bowl Sunday festivities. The result ?
It was a Super Recipe. See what I did there ?
While not the most sports centric family, we've long enjoyed the fun and
food associated with the big game and decided to add this recipe to our roster.
Even with the competition from our other favorite Super Bowl treats,
this recipe held its own. I am also pleased to say that it was absolutely
a week night option that packs some amazing flavor for just a few
ingredients. The Thai Chili sauce, readily available in most grocery
stores, was a true game changer.
Everyone's a winner with this one (sorry, couldn't resist.....).
This post follows my progress in cooking each recipe from
Dorie Greenspan's "Everyday Dorie" along with those participating
in the online group www.CookTheBookFridays.Wordpress.com
We do not publish recipes as policy but instead encourage folks
to buy the book and join in the fun.

  4. This was good :-)
Since only half our house is sports-centric, having >1 TW is a life saver :-)

  5. This was good and I think it's so great you made it together with Nana! We are similar, or at least I am, in terms of not being sport ball fans. But, a chance to eat some good junk food and drink some beer and watch some fun commercials? I'M IN! :)

  6. Team "Tricia and Nana" rises again! I hate football, but felt pressured to watch it. Boring game. At least it could have been exciting. Next time, I'll just stay in the kitchen...

  7. Since I am in sympathy with the Saints (who got robbed) I didn't watch the SB this year. Not even the half-time show nor the commercials. And, really, Tricia, since all the reports and medical papers have been published regarding injuries sustained, I've lost my appetite for football. That being said, the sweet chili chicken thighs were a perfect and sane antidote to all the junk food I hope you inhaled before sitting down to this proper meal. I must admit that while I gave up watching the Super Bowl, I did not give up chowing down on the required and expected non-nutritional food that accompanies it. LOL
