Last-of-the-Bunch Banana Bundt
The silver lining to the current world affairs, for me, is that I
ended up in a long standing sleep over at Nana's. Which means I
am eating wonderfully and getting rest like I was a 10 year old.
Let me assure you,
I appreciate all of this more than I did as a 10 year old.
A cake was in order (when the going gets tough....) so it was wonderful
serendipity that this week's recipe for the Everyday Dorie cooking group www.cookthebookfridays.wordpress.com was slated to be
Last-of-the-Bunch Banana Bundt.
Seriously, a bundt cake with coconut, mashed bananas, chocolate and yogurt. WOW.
Even more serendipitously, this recipe was already posted online so I am
including that link for anyone who would like to try it themselves.
Which should be everyone, because this was a delicious and easy cake.
It was fun doing this together and so pleased with the results. Cheznana
ReplyDeleteThis was such a great recipe! Love that you and Nana did this together :)
ReplyDeletewow indeed--delicious!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you are hanging out with Nana. I haven't visited her blog yet . Did you make one cake together or two separate ones? I'm not surprised to see the Hershey kisses adorning the cake! We're running low on candy and Howard is getting cravings. Thankfully we still have ice cream...
ReplyDeleteSilver lining is everywhere, this recipe to bake and to eat is one of them. Sounds great to revisit when we were 10 and enjoying the good old time. The picture of all those great ingredients whirling in the mixer makes you want to dip your finger in the batter.
ReplyDeleteI love your silver lining...and positive attitude! Trying times for sure, but living with loved ones and baking is a win-win situation! Enjoy this time together!! Your cake looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteStaying with your Mom must be wonderful and to bake together too. When life gives you lemons...
